I arrived in St. Petersburg, Russia for the youth worlds at the start of August and had a couple of days training at the venue of St Petersburg Yacht Club, on the waters where the racing will be held. We then transfered to the local beach where the event village was situated, sailing from the club to arrive at the beach for registration and equiptment inspection.
The practice race day arrived and I went onto the water, as I am the only competitor from Great Britain I have placed my boat bag, with food and drink in, for between the races, on a Polish support boat, which i am grateful for as the conditions are allowing for hard racing and lots of pumping.
I finished this event in 20th position, a 1 place improvement from 2018, however i am really pleased with this as the experience was incredible and i met lots of new international friends along the way.
