Shortbording West Kirby

2019 started with a windy weekend for me. We got up early, packed the car and hit the road to West Kirby, for a chance to go shortboarding in 30 knots of wind practicing my gybes and waterstarts.

The lake was quite popular and it was amazing to see the speed sailors there hitting speeds of 44 knots in the gusts due to the perfectly flat marine lake, but clean wind coming from the sea to the west. Because of these bliss conditions I hope to return there to train more often on my RSX kit.
